Presentation
Back at the family estate to work with her winemaker father, a writer now divides her time between pen and pruning shears, between pages and grape varieties. The result is a full-bodied, well-balanced wine with soft tannins and a hint of exuberance.
Terroir
In Provençal, “Camp-Revès” means “field on the other side”. This is the name of the estate's best plots, around 8 hectares at the top of a hillside perfectly exposed to sun and wind, east of Avignon. Planted on particularly thick clay-limestone soil, the vines draw their vital substances from deep in the soil. The large rounded pebbles store up the sun's heat and help the grapes ripen perfectly, warming and purifying the vines. The Mistral wind keeps the grapes healthy with the minimum of intervention, in accordance with the “high environmental quality” standard (HVE 3).
Winemaking
The estate's harvest is vinified separately in the Terres d'Avignon winery. The grapes are harvested at optimum maturity to obtain naturally concentrated juices, and destemmed to limit astringency. After a slow maceration of at least three weeks and traditional vinification, this wine is bottled after two or three years, when it reaches its fullness.
