Château Quilex 2021 - red wine

Presentation
The name "Château Quilex" comes from the Latin Quercus Ilex, a green oak, which is emblematic of the south-eastern corner of France. The estate, surrounded by these green oaks, covers 14 hectares, of which 8 fall under the new Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Gadagne designation. Annual production is +/-35,000 bottles. The estate is currently owned by François Berud, a winegrower driven by family tradition, but also passionate about agronomy and viticultural innovation. From this exceptional terroir, he was the first to produce a Côtes du Rhône Villages Gadagne.

Advice

Serving
To be served at 15/16°C
Tasting
Dark, deep color with purple hints. Complex nose of fruity and spicy aromas. Roundness in the mouth thanks to the silky tannins, with a melted aromatic complex of small fruits, spices and sweet licorice, and a beautiful aromatic persistence.
Food pairings
Grilled meats, meats in sauce, poultry, cheeses... Winemaker's advice: "My favourite way to serve it is with meat in sauce, barbecued prime rib (beef) or mature cheeses".
