Gentilice Ventoux

Story

The wine
This wine is the result of an extremely rigorous selection performed by a handful of winemakers. The yield is limited to 30 hl/h. We perform a green harvest in July, the grapes are hand picked, and collected in boxes prior to a careful sorting on table. Gentilice is the flagship of our Ventoux production; we wanted to make a nod to the Roman period, when the vine growing was established in our village, by naming this wine Gentilice, from the name of the clans at the basis of the social organization of the empire.
This term was used until the 16th century in France to designate members of a family, and is the origin of the word 'gentleman'. So we signify through this name the noble character of the wine.
