This wine takes its name from the Provencal tale "The Pope's Mule" which tells the story of resentment that the old mule from Pope Boniface kept against her groom who had caused him a lot of troubles. The mule who "saw red" for seven long years, finally found the time to exercise his vengeance and gave his former executioner a fatal hoof kick.
Terroir
Low alluvial soil of the Durance.
Vinification
Maceration during 5 to 6 days to keep the aromas of fresh fruit.

Tasting
Garnet color with purple hints. Nose of black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry). Flattering mouth with fine and delicate tannins.
